Cancellations / No Shows
If you find yourself unable to keep an appointment you have with one of our providers, we ask that you notify us 24 hours in advance. You will be charged $25.00 for any appointment that is made for you and you do not keep or cancel at least 24 hours before.
If you have used your last refill of a medication be SURE that you have an appointment scheduled within the next 30 days. Lost prescriptions for controlled medications (pain medications, sleep aids etc.) will not be replaced.
We will make every effort to accommodate you in the event of an urgent need. Our staff will offer to schedule you either with your physician or one of our mid level providers. We ask that you call early in the day or send a message through the portal with your request.
**If no appointments are readily available please leave a message with the receptionist. Our providers or nurses will review and contact you.
Telephone Calls or Portal Messages
Patient phone calls are taken as a message and are routed to your provider for their review. These are usually reviewed at the end of the morning clinic and again at the end of the day. These messages will come back to your patient portal as a clinical message. Please check there for our response.
We request that all of our patients have their laboratory (blood) work done at either Quest or LabCorp Laboratories. We have an electronic connection with these facilities and it allows us to more readily access and track your results.
• Lab work that is done at Quest or LabCorp will be available in your patient portal.
• You will receive an email that your results are ready.
• Your provider will review these results and send you a message by either the patient portal, a letter, a phone call or they will be reviewed at your next visit.
Radiology and other test results will be telephoned to you as soon as feasible. Please call us if you do not receive your results.
If you need to change pharmacies or change your prescription to mail order, non-expired prescriptions can be transferred to the new pharmacy without charge or interruption. Most mail order pharmacies disregard this provision and require new prescriptions. In the event that this is preferred by the patient BEFORE their next routine office visit, you have a couple of choices:
1. Make an appointment for repeat refills
2. Wait for your next regular appointment to change pharmacies
3. Pay a $25.00 fee for your doctor to review your medical records and rewrite the prescriptions.
